Time to relax…where is the time?

Wow, it has been busy around here. My oldest son and his family are on a seven day cruise so I have the opportunity to care for Copper “the dog”. Copper is not a lot of trouble. He eats three times a day and has to go out three times a day. He does not like sleeping on the floor so does take up part of the bed at night. When my granddaughter is here, he sleeps in her bed but since she is on the cruise I can get all the dog out of the blankets and bedding and have washed everything possible and “Febreezed” the room. This will make us all happier at least for a few days.

I have been searching for some good recipes for bug repellent as this seems to be the season when the mosquitoes and other little flying gnats seem to appear. I use Lavender and Citronella but wanted to stir up something for the whole family including the dog. I have found several different combinations. So the best one I have found so far for Copper, the dog is a spray of 10 drops of lavender, 10 drops of cedarwood, 10 drops of purification, 2 drops of peppermint and 6 drops of citronella. Mix this all in a spray bottle with distilled water and spray the animal frequently. All of these fragrances repel insects and keeps the animal smelling pretty good too.

This is Copper. Sad Copper He is telling me he did not push the envelope onto the floor and is not going to go for a ride on that train the kids left in the middle of the floor. He is thinking it is time for dinner but he has an hour an a half before he gets to eat again. Then we go for a walk around the block which provide me with a bit of exercise and time to pick up the mail.

Let me know if you have any recipes for bug repellent for animals, children or adults. I also have several mud doppers and one hornet nest started on the back porch. Not sure what will get rid of those but am counting on the bug man to take care of those problems.

Check the shop for the ingredients for the bug spray.
