I tend to write on any piece of paper that happens to be around. Today I found a scrap with a recipe for lotion that I will try. I don’t want to lose it so will share it with all of you and hope you will try it as well. The recipe is as follows:
3/4 cup cocoa butter
1/4 cup coconut oil
1/4 cup Shea butter
1/2 cup almond or jojoba oil
3-5 drops of tangerine essential oil
or other essential oils that you may like. Sometimes I use Peppermint if I need a pick me up or lavender that I use in my “just before bed” lotion.
To make this you melt the first three items in the top of a double boiler and when melted, remove from heat and add the rest. Put this in the fridge for about 30 minutes and then whip it with your electric mixer for about 10 minutes so it is nice and fluffy.
Now that I have documented that recipe, the rest of my day will be heading to the grocery because my cupboard is bare and I can’t eat the lotion. I am trying to maintain a better diet and drinking more water which I hope will improve my energy levels.
If you make this lotion, please post a picture so we can compare. I don’t have a picture of the lotion as I haven’t made it yet, but here is an example of our bath bombs. Nothing like a Mickey mold to add to the fun. This is what a mold looks like after help from the granddaughter. Great learning experience in cleaning up. If you make the bath bombs, be sure they stick together very well or Mickey’s ears will fall off. Just sayin’
